Meet Ceasar.  He is a 7 year old, short haired Doxie. And he is considered a special needs pup because he has heart murmur. This condition requires daily medication. His foster Mom had this to say about sharing life with Ceasar:
Caesar is sweet, red, short-haired dachshund. Not much is known about his background, as he was found by moving into someone's garage and driveway! He's in good shape, and moderately active around the house, especially considering he's not a young pup anymore.

Caesar does well with other dogs, and he's very mellow around children. He could spend all day just laying around and letting people pet and feed him if he had the choice. He enjoys his walks and running around the backyard with his foster fursister, Tesla. He loves to be around people, and will follow me around the house from room to room, even if I'm just walking from the couch to the kitchen! If he's not trying to curl up around my feet when I'm exercising or stretching, he likes to find a comfortable pillow or blanket to burrow under. Though he's very calm-natured, he can be vocal. Caesar has opinions and wants them to be heard!

He's an absolute sweet-heart and has been wonderful to foster. Because of his age, stairs and long walks can be too much for him. He's house trained but will need to go out frequently, otherwise he's fine!

Ceasar does have a Grade 4 Heart Murmur and takes medication. The medication is about $20.00 a month. He is doing great and should have lots of years left to give and receive lots of love!
