Chiwi is a very sweet Dachshund/Chihuahua mix. She is very outgoing and never seems to meet a stranger. She loves to chew on her rawhide twist or cow hoof. More than anything, Chiwi loves to chase and retrieve a ball, bone, stuffed animal, etc. She is a very high energy dog, and will literally chase and retrieve an object until my arm is tired. I threw a tennis ball for her to retrieve for 2 hours, I stopped because I was tired…Chiwi wanted to keep going!
She loves mealtime! I feed her 3/8 cup of Taste of the Wild High Prairie dry formulation twice daily. I do generously give treats such as Evo’s grain free treats and Charlee Bears. I also leave cow hooves and Nylabones for Chiwi and her companions to chew on.
Chiwi is very active. She gets extremely excited when I come home from work each day. She watches out the window with another foster dog as I approach the door, and I can see that her whole body is moving and her tail is wagging. Chiwi barks only when she is excited or wants to go outside to potty. She loves chewing rawhide twists and cow hooves. She enjoys racing around the backyard sniffing everything and looking for a stick to retrieve. I try to keep her from jumping on and off the furniture, but she is so fast that it is hard to prevent her from doing that.
Chiwi does well with my cats, Dakota and Paisley. The cats seem to like hanging out with Chiwi. Chiwi is a happy, high energy, extroverted dog and deserves the best possible forever home. She would make a wonderful family addition, especially for a family that can meet the needs of a dog with so much energy. Can you give her a furever home?
If you are interested in adopting Chiwi please visit her personal profile page or email her foster Mom Cathy at Ladycat014@hotmail.com for more information.
