Some of our greatest historical and artistic treasures we place with curators in museums; others we take for walks. - Roger Caras
Today's Daily Dog Quote is in honor of the amazing Best in Show for Shelter Dogs event hosted by the Animal Foundation of Las Vegas and to the many volunteers and patrons that made it possible for nearly 50 shelter dogs to be adopted in a single day!
Shelter Days - The Final Countdown
My Shelter Days are numbered ten.
Ten more days until my end.
My Shelter Days are numbered eight.
Please adopt me. Change my fate.
My Shelter Days are numbered six.
Adopt a pet week, still no one's pick.
My Shelter Days are numbered four.
Four more days and then no more.
My Shelter Days are numbered two.
Someone will take me, I just don't know who.
My Shelter Days are numbered none.
I know I'm finished, then you come.
My Shelter Days are over, done,
Because you, my master, took me home.

The stranger couldn't help but be amused. "That certainly doesn't look like a dangerous dog to me. Why in the world would you post that sign?"
Because, the owner replied, "before I posted that sign, people kept tripping over him.
